Holistic therapy with warmth and compassion - that is the foundation of Healing Space Counseling and the cornerstone of my practice. I believe treatment should address the whole person and work for you at any point in your journey towards wellness.

Using an individualized approach, I tailor a variety of proven therapeutic methods towards your unique growth and healing. Together we work at the pace and depth that feels right for you.

I first entered the field of mental health as a Crime Victim’s Advocate and Counselor. This role ignited my passion for therapy and working with those in distress. I found the work equally challenging and invigorating and learned how profoundly our outer and inner experiences affect one another. Wanting to take patients beyond crisis and into the healing process, I returned to school, earning a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from West Chester University and set to work.

With years of experience across various clinical settings including non-profit, hospital, school and outpatient, I offer richly informed professional therapy and counseling to my clients, making use of multiple treatment modalities rather than forcing a singular approach or diagnosis. I currently offer therapy to adolescents and adults.

My practice targets emotions stemming from stress, trauma, depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, cognitive disorders and relationship issues, with three fundamental elements:

Process-oriented therapy for developing personal awareness and management of powerful thoughts, feelings, and emotions,

Transparent, collaborative work that informs, guides, and empowers you to self-regulate, and

Integrative use of methods treating the whole person with mindfulness at the core.

In my off-hours, I enjoy yoga, cooking and anything outdoorsy. I most recently enjoyed hikes along the West Rim Trail of the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon and the Black Forest Trail in the Tiadaghton State Forest. I’m also proud co-author of Group Therapy Workbook: Integrating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with Psychodramatic Theory and Practice that helps other therapists integrate powerful methods for better outcomes.

Providing in person therapy in West Chester, PA and virtual sessions to residents of Pennsylvania and Maine.

People are the center of my practice. While I have a wide range of experience and expertise in various techniques, I always take a person-centered approach to therapy. Every individual is unique, and it is important to treat your symptoms, not simply your diagnosis.

Sometimes even the most basic and routine challenges of everyday life can seem complex, unpredictable, or even overwhelming. Whether you are suffering from depression, anxiety, grief, or just going through a difficult transition, my goal is to foster a trusting, safe, and confidential environment for you to heal and grow.

My philosophy is grounded in self-compassion and connection – that means helping my clients identify their strengths and learn resilience. Together, we can help you navigate life’s struggles and crises, emerging stronger, healthier, and more confident in yourself and your abilities.

As a therapist, it is my responsibility to deliver compassionate, safe, and productive therapy that gives people real tools to create sustainable and lasting change in their lives. I believe that people heal most effectively when they feel empowered to regain control of their lives and confidence in themselves. My goal is to help clients create a sense of self-awareness in order to understand the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.

My counseling style is personalized. I often combine and customize approaches to meet your needs and your comfort level. I use techniques from different therapy models, including the following: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) for children and adolescents, Multidimensional Family Therapy (MDFT), Psychodynamic Therapy, and Person-Centered Therapy.Healthy lifestyle choices and general wellness are also a key component to healing.  As part of my practice, I often incorporate mindfulness and guided meditation for relaxation and stress-reduction.

As a professional working to earn a certification in Perinatal Mood Disorders, I also aim to provide mothers and parents with an authentic, safe place to heal from Postpartum Depression and other experiences. As a mom of four, I know that even the most basic, day-to-day challenges of parenting can be stressful and overwhelming. So many women in my circle of friends and family have dealt with Postpartum Depression and other mental health concerns. Unfortunately, too many of them suffered in silence.

I have worked with adolescents, adults, couples, groups, and families for more than 15 years in various clinical settings. The main focus of my clinical work has been working with trauma survivors. I am also a Certified School Psychologist and I have extensive experience working with children and adults with developmental and learning disabilities including ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Depression, and Anxiety Disorders.

When I’m not working, I am busy spending time with my husband and family.  We love the outdoors, going to the Jersey Shore, baking, watching family movies together, participating in team sports, and playing board games.

As a counselor to children and adolescents, it is my goal to create a safe and comfortable place for individuals to heal and grow from overwhelming or traumatic life experiences. Sometimes these experiences can cause feelings of sadness, loneliness, grief, or anxiety. We can often feel stuck in the cycles of anxiety and depression or simply overwhelmed by day-to-day tasks.  Through our time together, I hope to foster self-compassion, resilience, and confidence to continue on a healing path.

After completing a Master’s degree in Clinical Counseling at Eastern University, I began my career in counseling as a children’s advocate at the Domestic Violence Center of Chester County. During my time at this agency, I specialized in trauma work with survivors of abuse. Through this work, I became passionate about joining clients on their healing journey. The instillation of hope became the foundation of my therapeutic work with my clients.

I truly believe that treatment should consider the whole person and not just one dimension of a person. My approach is dynamic and unique and can include elements of Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT),Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT).

My professional experience has included working with children and adolescents diagnosed with ADHD, Depression, Anxiety, and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.

In my free time I enjoy spending time outside with my family, hiking, practicing yoga, and watching documentaries.
